Re: Sensor Possibilities (LISTS)
Humidity sensors on digikey are all Honeywell. The 5030 or 5031 (5030 with filter on it) appear to be most suitable, and cheapest which is nice. All sensors below are capacitive type with 0-100% RH, -40 to 85c operation, 5s response time, linear voltage output. Manufacturer Part Accuracy Min Volt Ma...

Re: Sensor Possibilities (LISTS)
My personal aim is 90,000 ft. at 90,000ft... pressure is 0.26psia or 1.79kPa (17.9hPa) From Wikipedia: Types of pressure measurements Pressure sensors can be classified in terms of pressure ranges they measure, temperature ranges of operation, and most importantly the type of pressure they measure. ...

Sensor Possibilities (LISTS)
Temperature sensors which go down to very low temperatures are mostly analogue output. The DS18S20 is the only digital in the list, has the most accuracy with the -55c minimum. Temperatures at altitude may go to -59c, however this sensor may read outside it's boundaries. Unfortunately, it is also th...

To Do List
* Turn todo list into a set of milestones and dates for completion. If we're going to do this, we need to plan this properly as John and Daniel will be flying in. I believe that between july and september will give us an optimal flight time. Daniel and John need to work out when their cheapest fligh...

Video/camera systems
Looks like this is currently the lightest high quality HD camera around: http://www.goprocamera.com/products/hd-hero-naked-camera.php This would be our HD recording of the flight onboard. We'd also have a small camera on the 2.4ghz link (i'm guessing we can't get av out on the hero) which will give ...

Thread for discussing RF links. For video, 2.4ghz 500mw or better. 8dBi circular polarised patch as base of payload pointing downwards. On receiver side, yagi with LNA (or similar) Data on 433mhz FHSS and 900mhz FHSS, both with dipoles on the payload, redundant yagi + receivers on the ground. Everyt...

Re: JJC Time-lapse Controller
have one of these for nikon 10 pin. It used to work, however now fails to trigger the camera. They are not very well made. I was just using it for remote shutter, since the D700 has a intervalometer built in.
