Version 2.1
This has a small enhancement to the status screen, in which it now shows if you're running the latest firmware/software. Not a required update, as there is no new functionality, except that you can now see if you have the latest firmware/software on the front screen when connected.
It's also a version incriment to allow testing of the software version test.

Re: DragonOSD+ PC Commander - configuration utility
Awesome. Posted on Christmas no less. You shouldn't work so hard.
Got a question... When I check for new updates, it gives me the following error:
"An error has occured while performing the Software Version Request. Please try again later."
I click OK, then try again, and sometimes it works after that, but other times it gives the same error again. Any idea what's going on?
Thanks,
Brian

Re: DragonOSD+ PC Commander - configuration utility
Hey Brian!
That's strange - could you email me the debug file? (Click Help and About, I think, and it will show you the path...)
Send it to info@listerhome.com and I'll check it out.
Cheers,
Craig
Edit: I have made a change to the way I connect to the database... and it seems pretty good now. Could you confirm the issue is resolved?

Re: DragonOSD+ PC Commander - configuration utility
Hey Craig. Well, it seems ok now. Can't duplicate the problem. It was doing it yesterday though, even with the new software version (2.6). Did you make a change since then to your server? Could be that fixed it. Also, since it appears the log file is rewritten everytime the program runs, I don't have any useful information from that. Here's what it says, but this is after a successful update check:

BTW, something else I noticed. When starting PC Commander, the splash screen shows until you move the mouse. IE: it won't go away until the mouse is moved over top of the window. Is this intentional? Just curious.

Re: DragonOSD+ PC Commander - configuration utility
Nope - splash haning about isn't intentional... Will look into that.
And yeah, I made a change on the server side, so hopefully that issue is now resolved.
As for the deleted log file, there's an option in the options menu: Top menu, Configuration, Application Settings... there's a check box 'Clear log on Startup'. Ity's defaulted to On, because that log file will be huge after a while...
Glad it seems better!
Craig
